“Film and Video @Goliath” :

Goliath Visual Space is hosting an evening of film and video loosely organized around the theme of performance in film and video art with presentations by Ben Coonley, Masha Godovannaya, Shaun Irons, Lauren Petty, and Moira Tierney. Curated by Sara Reisman, the program includes works that explore a number of possible relationships between performance and the film – or video – frame, for example: artist as performer within the video frame; artist in a live performance outside of the frame; and artist producing the spectacle of film by performing the roles of curator, programmer, and projectionist.

Ben Coonley will present a selection of video performances from his series entitled One Trick Pony; Shaun Irons & Lauren Petty will install recent video works (see http://automaticrelease.org); and Moira Tierney and Masha
Godovannaya will screen a 16mm film program, combining their own works with other film material.
@Goliath is a series of performances and events organized by Thomas Lail and sited at Goliath Visual Space. All @Goliath events are free and open to the public.
